What we want:

Literary fiction, not more than 1,500 words. Please no bio or cover letters. We love literary fiction with some magical realism, speculative elements, or mystery. Teach us something about life and keep it accessible! We are not the right place for traditional genre work.

When we want it:

February, May, August, and November 1st until our cap is met or 10 days, whichever comes first. Dates and changes will be announced to subscribers and followers on X.

How it works:

We display four stories for three months. New issues will drop March, June, September, and December (one month after subs open). They will then move to our Archives.

Rights:

Exclusive First World Electronic Rights. The right to publish your piece first online and exclusively for one month from the date of publication. After which, rights revert to you.

Archival Rights. The right to keep it available online after the rights revert to you for immediate use.

How we want it:

Shunn formatting for fiction

One submission per period. Simultaneous subs are fine. If rejected, wait until the next period to try again.

What you get:

We decide quickly and nominate heavily. With a deliberately limited amount of work on our site, your chances of readership and nomination are good.

Exclusivity and limited noise are new luxuries.
